SENIOR LIVING COMMUNITIES
Senior living marketing with a more thoughtful next step.
Families may be comparing unfamiliar care options while making a very personal decision. Your marketing should help them understand your actual community and how to ask the next question.
I’m Jess Holland, a fractional Chief Marketing Officer. I connect healthcare business marketing in Florida, Colorado and nationwide.
I’m only taking on 1 or 2 more clients right now.

WHEN THE PIECES DO NOT LINE UP
Families need useful information, not more polished uncertainty.
A community website can look lovely and still leave practical questions unanswered. What type of community is this? Which services are actually offered? Who can explain availability, costs and the process of arranging a conversation or tour?
Your team shouldn’t have to undo an unclear first impression during a sensitive decision.
You are balancing the community, its people and a lot of conversations. The marketing should support informed questions without pressure, invented availability or a promise about a resident’s care experience.
A PRACTICAL PLACE TO START
Help people understand the community before they reach out.
Explain the actual community and care options.
Clearly distinguish the living arrangements and services you really offer. Your qualified team reviews care descriptions, eligibility, costs and any regulatory or operational statements.
Connect the location and the story.
Align the website, local listings and campaigns with the real community information. Photos and descriptions should be accurate, current and cleared for their intended use.
Support the inquiry-to-conversation handoff.
Clarify how a family reaches the right person and what happens after an inquiry or tour request. Keep those marketing interactions separate from completed tours, move-ins and care outcomes.

JESS, IN YOUR CORNER
Someone connecting the marketing around the decision.
When the website, local visibility and follow-up are managed separately, the person overseeing the business ends up translating between them. I help healthcare businesses choose clearer priorities and connect the work.
As your fractional CMO, I lead the agreed marketing work with my team. Your community retains responsibility for care, availability and operational information. We can make the next conversation clearer without turning a sensitive decision into a pressure campaign.
CROSS-HEALTHCARE CLIENT EXPERIENCE
What working together has felt like for other healthcare owners.

Lakeside Spine & Injury, chiropractic practice
These videos are business-client feedback from chiropractic practices, not senior living case studies. They are cross-healthcare examples of working with me, not patient testimonials or evidence of results for your specialty.
No specialty-specific performance result is claimed on this page. Reported marketing metrics are not patient or resident outcomes. Individual results vary. Past results do not guarantee future performance.
A SIMPLE THREE-STEP PLAN
Start with the information families need next.
Talk through the community.
We discuss the living options you actually offer, your location and how inquiries reach the team. Do not share resident or prospective resident health information.
Choose the biggest information gaps.
We review the message and inquiry path, then agree on a focused scope. Any availability or care-related wording needs your team’s confirmation.
Connect the work and review the handoff.
I coordinate the agreed marketing priorities with my team. We distinguish inquiries, requested tours, completed tours and move-ins rather than treating them as the same result.
LESS CONFUSION, MORE CLARITY
An unclear explanation puts more weight on an already important conversation.
Families arrive with assumptions. Your team spends time untangling them. More traffic to a confusing experience does not automatically help someone decide what to ask.
An accurate introduction and a more thoughtful next step.
The aim is useful community information, consistent local details and a clear path to a conversation. Not guaranteed occupancy, move-ins, care outcomes or availability.
A FEW THINGS YOU MIGHT BE WONDERING
Senior Living Marketing questions, answered.
Do you market independent living, assisted living and memory care together?
We start with what the specific community actually offers. Those options should be explained accurately, not treated as interchangeable or listed just to attract more searches.
Can you advertise current availability or pricing?
Only from current information your community approves. We do not invent open rooms, waitlist details, pricing, eligibility or urgency. Your team reviews those statements before use.
How do you measure senior living marketing?
Marketing reports may show visits, inquiries or requested tours. Those are not automatically completed tours, move-ins or occupancy gains. We agree on definitions and distinguish platform activity from verified business outcomes.
Can you help with the path from inquiry to a tour conversation?
We can review how families reach the community and the administrative next steps your team uses. Care and eligibility questions stay with qualified staff. A requested tour is reported separately from a completed tour or move-in.
Will you use resident stories or photos?
Any resident-related material requires the community’s privacy, consent and appropriate compliance review. We do not assume it is available for marketing just because it has been shared elsewhere.
What happens on the 15-minute call?
Tell me about the community, how inquiries currently work and where the marketing feels disconnected. We can discuss fit and next priorities without resident details or private health information.
YOUR NEXT STEP CAN BE SMALL
Let’s make the community easier to understand, without adding pressure.
Tell me where families seem to need more clarity. We can start there.
